I know there is a government sponsored program that will provide free credit reports from all three reporting agencies once a year. Does anyone know the specific web site to obtain these or a phone number to call?

This is the web site. It will forward you to the 3 companies. Those companies will try to sell you other services, but you can refuse and still get one report every year from each.

The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that U.S. consumers be entitled to a free credit report each year.
