Why am I unable to check my credit score? It says something about a security or Active Duty Military Alert?

I was recently denied credit at a furniture store. I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to write to Citibank directly (where I was trying to get the credit through) to get WHY I was denied. I decided to check my credit myself. It says “We’re sorry, for your protection we are unable to deliver your FACT Act Equifax Free Annual Credit Report on the internet. There are a number of reasons that we may be unable to fulfill your request online. You may have a Security Freeze on your credit file, an Active Duty Military or Fraud Alert, or the identification information submitted online may not match the information on file.”

The information is correct. My husband is active duty military, but why should that affect whether or not I can check my score? Could this be why I was denied? My credit score was 734 the last time I checked, which was in February or so. Could it be because I checked it then? I’m really confused.

The telephone option or mailin form to request report by mail.

there is a freeze on it to prevent fraud. or loans taken out without hubbys consent
