You can get a free report from each of the three national credit reporting companies every 12 months. Some other sites claim to offer “free” credit reports, but may charge you for another product if you accept a “free” report.
The only place authorized to give you your free credit report as required by the government is annualcreditreport.com. Free copies of your credit scores are not yet avaliable. However, once you have your free credit report you can usually pay to have it include your credit score for only around five dollars.
