They’re so full of crap. “We won’t use your credit/bank card”
And the next day you have a $10.00 cover charge for every time you check your credit.
Its crap. I really wouldn’t rely on online sites. You can actually check your credit score via cell phone companies. You can see if you qualify for a phone by them checking your credit score, then you can ask what it was.
I dont feel comfortable with using a website for such sensitive information…I have a friend who works in the mortgage industry and have him run my credit report annually for me at no charge…Overchecking your credit report has negative effects towards your credit rating, so if you are going to look for a car let them run it and they must supply you with a copy!
*******
****** isn’t the best site, it’s the only site. This is the site the government mandated credit companies to use to allow you to see your credit for free once a year. There are three companies. You get one freebie from each company once a year. Experts say to check a different one every four months so you get a good watch over your credit over the year. Checking your credit this way will not show up as a “hard hit” as it would to go to a cell phone booth or a bank. Too many hard hits will lower your credit. Soft hits don’t affect it.
All the others will sign you up for some bogus credit monitoring service.
