Just go to freecreditreport.com easy, lol. I’ve seen the commercial like 1500 times.
yeah, it’s true if you were born yesterday
And ONLY that site.
Many other sites are scams. They get you to sign up for a fee and then give you your free credit report.
EDIT: Do not go to freecreditreport.com, it’s one of these scams I’m talking about
Dont spend any money
There is no such thing. This is just a gimmick. You have to subscribe to a service or something. Read the fine prints, and don’t be suckered into this stuff.
the free government sponsored site.. good luck and hold your breatth! -alan
The best way is to go to your bank and have them run it and give you the reports from all the bueros. It’s free and easy without having to put your personnal info online!
Once you get to the site you will see that they will give the first one free if you buy the subscription.
Only once a year from all three reporting agencies.
the ones online arent usually a good idea…you end up having to pay somewhere at some point if you want to get the information that is actually useful..after falling for a few of them i happened across a number you can call once a year to get a free, totally free, copy of your credit report from all three reporting agencies, which gives you an extensive look at your report…
call:
1-877-322-8228
i do every year
This is Government site that links you to it.
While you can get free credit reports online… you need to use caution before signing up with just anyone. There are some services out there that allow a free credit report, but then stick you with an annual credit reporting fee.
You are best to stick with a well known credit report provider or checking with your local government agencies for your state as some states require the 3 major credit bureaus to provide at least one annual credit report free.
I also suggest checking a website that compares the leading providers of credit reports like:
Or you can check out one that is advertised on tv quite often:
yes. go to annual credit report.com Do Not go to free credit report.com (its not free). You can get one free report each year from each of the reporting agencies each year. The best bet is to get one report (from a different agency ) every 4 months or so unless you see something fishy. You can choose which agency to get the report from at the web site. And there is no fee for this
