Free Credit Report?

I know if you get a credit report from annual credit report. com is free..

In general is there a specific time to get your credit report or just any month of the year will be fine? Is there an “appropriate time” ?

   any month of the year. You only get one free one per year though, unless you are submitting a dispute then they have to show you whats on your credit.
