Does this the annualcreditreport.com website work for anyone? I keep getting “unable to accept your request”?
by admin ~ August 10th, 2007 . Filed under: Credit .You are supposed to be able to request a free copy of your credit reports from Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax through this website. Every time I have gone to it for the past few months, I have seen this…
“A condition exists that prevents us from being able to accept your request at this time.
Please visit this website again at a later time, or to request delivery of your free annual credit report via U.S. mail, call (877) 322–8228.
Thank you.”
So then I called that phone number a couple of months ago and did the automated phone request for the three reports, but they never came. Does that website work for anyone?
There was mention of a request form on this website. I don’t see that. Is there supposed to be a link for it? All I see is what I put in the above explanation. Is there another website where I can find that form?

Yes, it works. Mail in the printed request form. There is evidently some problem in verifying your identity or address. They may ask you for verification documents. Remember that you have to wait a year from your last report for a new one.

I have better luck in dealing with each credit bureau individually through their own websites.

I’ve used the site for several years now and never had a problem.
Sorry, you haven’t had any luck. Maybe it’s a system glitch.
Anyhow, you can fill out this form to request your reports by mail:
I hope this gets you better results.
