Hi. For the annual credit report that can be received for free once a year by all 3 agencies, does anyone know does it start new the first of the year, or is it 12 months from the date you last obtained your report, so for example if I got my report from equifax in March do I have to wait til March to get it again? Thanks.

12 months from when you got your last one, so you’d have to wait until March.
It is 12 months from the time you got your report
So if you got your report in March of last year, you can get a new one March of this year
You will be able to get your report now from other agencies if you got yours from Equifax only!
To get it free from the agencies, you need to wait 12m. Some websites will do it for a fee, but be very careful where you give out your social security number.
I’m thinking so. March tends to be an annual budget/report time of year.
Yes, it’s 12 months from when you got your last one. You may be eligible for another one before that time is up, though.
Read this – it’s got all the info in the first couple of paragraphs that tells who’s eligible for more according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act:
Hope that helps!
